St. Francis Academy, Kathalberia/Kestopur, is a Catholic Christian Minority Institution. It is managed and administered by the Capuchin Fathers of St. Fidelis Province, North India, a charitable society duly registered under the Registration of Societies Act No XXI of 1960 and also holding the Certificate of Registration under West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961.
It is a non-aided minority, co-educational institution, recognized by the Department of Education, West Bengal and affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), New Delhi, which is a body recognized for conducting the public examinations under the Delhi School Education Act of 1973.
